Part 6 Basic English Learning – Are You Single ?. Bab ke-6 dari bahasa Inggris dasar ini, kita akan membahas penggunaan bentuk to be dalam kalimat negatif. Selanjutnya akan belajar membuat kalimat pertanyaan dengan menggunakan bentuk to be beserta jawaban pendeknya baik yes atau no. Lagi-lagi belajar angka, namun kali ini digunakan untuk penggunaan yang berkaitan dengan usia. Setelah itu, baru belajar penggunaan kata how old untuk menanyakan berapa usia seseorang. A. Grammar: Negative Of The Verb Be ( Negatif Kata Kerja Be )

B. Grammar: Yes/No Questions ( Pertanyaan Yes/No )

Untuk membuat kalimat pertanyaan yang jawabannya yes atau tidak dari bentuk kata kerja Be, kita cukup membuat pertanyaan yang diawali dengan kata kerja be, baik am, is, atau are dan diikut kata benda, sifat, atau kata keterangan dan terakhir diakhiri dengan tanda pertanyaan.

● Are you Married ?
● Is she Indonesian ?
● Is he an actress ?
● Are they from asia ?

C. Grammar: Short Answer

Setelah kita bisa membuat pertanyaan sederhana dengan menggunakan kata kerja be, selanjutnya kita belajar bagaimana kita menjawab. Kita bisa menjawab yes atau no, dan keduanya juga mempunyai aturan tersendiri, meskipun termasuk jawaban pendek atau short answer. Apabila kita menjawab dengan no, lihat aturan bagaimana membuat kalimat negatif untuk kata kerja be. Lebih jelas silakan lihat contoh berikut :

Nelly	: Yes, I am. and you’re an office worker too, aren’t you ?
